I have been owned by Arabians and Pomeranians for almost 30 years and for the last 14 years I have lived with them on an acreage west of Red Deer, Alberta, Canada.

The Arabians are pasture ornaments now, but I'm still breeding Pomeranians. My poms have mainly Bev-nor, Great Elms, Millamor and Emcee  background. I'm happy with what I am producing but am always trying to get the poms that match the dream pom in my mind. Right now I'm only working with solid colours, as well as black and tan.

My goal is to breed Poms that meet the breed standard, with good temperaments, sound and free-whelping.  Producing all this in a typy pom package complete with a nice coat and good movement can be tricky as Mother Nature likes to throw in problems here and there. I don't show at this point in time, due to financial and health reasons, but poms I have sold for show have done well in the ring.

My breeding philosophy is fairly simple - I don't do too much in the way of tight line-breeding, I am more comfortable with what I call "loose line-breeding" where I do line-breed but try to keep a good number of different ancestors in the pedigree to keep my poms genetically "healthy". I breed as much type to type as pedigree matching and as I feel no one male suits every female and vice versa, I do have quite a few males in my stud force for that very reason. They each have something to offer and will click with different girls.

The future looks exciting and I have some breedings planned that I hope will take Jandala Poms even closer to my dream of my ideal Pomeranian.

And to all the breeders and friends who have helped, and are still helping me along the way...

Thank you!
